Steve was very engaging and really encouraged active participation in a virtual setting. Despite the training being late in the evening, I found myself interested and eager to learn and discuss more. I am excited to experience all this training has to offer!

Because Soika! 120VC has a solid, amazing process that standardizes and delivers successful projects. The training is incomparable, honestly. Acknowledged realism. I believe even Project Managers that have a PMP will take away valuable intel they can utilize right away. I'm looking forward to the upcoming classes and appreciate this type of virtual learning offered. Cheers!

I really enjoyed the Getting Started & Communication as a Leadership Tool class. As a PM for over ten years, I have always known the importance of communications as a skill. However, this class makes it even clearer how communications is used to LEAD projects. I also appreciated the creation of the three B's to help remember how to establish and increase credibility. Lastly, I enjoyed Jim Adam's style of instruction which kept me engaged at all times.

Despite being taught late in the evening,Jim Adams kept the session lively, and his engaging teacing style made it easy to understand the material being taught. I was really impressed by the concept that to communicate as a PM is to LEAD. That there is no room for doubt even if the PM does not have a robust solution (yet). I am really looking forwrad to future sessions of this course. Thanks Jim for a great opening session.

This webinar was a great way to start off the series; it certainly sets the tone for the remaining webinars. Jim Adams was engaging from the beginning and all through out. Jim did a nice job of sharing his experience which built his credibility with the group; he also shared the "why" on 120VC's perspective and process in Chapters 1 and 6.

Steve demonstrated and sustained such great energy as he led the "Managing Meetings" webinar. He continually shared 120VC's best practices as well as his own experiences (aka "scar tissue)" that added value to the webinar. Looking forward to the next webinar.

Great course to attend for Project Management. Both instructors Jason and Steve were both hands on and making sure everyone understood all content. I highly recommend

by Aleta Williams on Managing Meetings

Attended Managing Meetings course last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Mr. Soika kept me engaged and answered all my questions. He stressed how important it is to have an agenda and meeting minutes. Having these tools leads to effective leadership and accountability. We also discussed the relevance of terminology that project managers use. For example, Agreement, Risk and Task Assignment. I recommend this course because successfully managing meetings will lead to your project completing on time and on budget and help create a trustworthy brand as a project manager.

by Henry Lee on Managing Meetings

I attended a 5-day course instructed by the CEO J.Scott. What an eye-opening experience about how project management should be done in a business setting. Having been an officer in the military, I thought I was well schooled in leadership. J. made it clear that same mentality does not always work when you are, "trying to move a project as aggressively as possible without leaving time and money on the table." - J.Scott

by Jasdeep Bhullar on Managing Meetings

This training was relevant and filled with real world examples of how to succeed. Ken made the time fly by and engaged the class as professionals. Would take additional training provided by Ken at anytime.

I appreciated Ken sharing his best practices and the "why" behind some of the 120VC processes. It was helpful to someone like me who didn't have formal project budgets background.

by Samantha Belyski on Managing the Project Budget

Awesome session and instructor!

by Ana Ryustem on Managing the Project Budget

Great information on the budget tracking for PM.

Good class. Owais answered many of my questions. I have just enough back end knowledge about PO generation and tracking on the client side to be a bit confused by the QuickBooks lingo. All is well now in the land of 120VC. Thanks! 🙂

Very helpful and thorough review of the communication process.

This was a great course! It teaches you how to efficiently and effectively communicate project status on a weekly basis. But really it is more than that. It focuses on using the weekly status to establish credibility, accountability and direction of the project. I have already started to alter my own status reporting to conform to this standard.

This training further stresses the goal of leading a project to completion. Good communication is a key component to a project's success and this course successfully outlined how to ensure that a project manager maintains positive communication with executives and program managers throughout a project.

by Michael Porter on Defining the Project

I recently attended a training course moderated by Owais Javeed. His instruction was easy to follow and, most of all, engaging. His real life scenarios helped demonstrate how the 120VC methodology can streamline any project manager role. His class and the other training sessions I have attended will definitely enhance my project management skills.

by Juli B. on Defining the Project

I really valued Owais' approach to not only share his best practices prior to 120vc as well as 120vc, but I also appreciated how he engaged with the group to add value to the discussions.

by Alisa Smith on Defining the Project

Great class with real life examples.

Informative and enlightening with engaging teachers.

120 VC is first rate all the way.

by Sarah Jean Fry on Defining the Project

This is an excellent course that can change the way you begin your projects. In Defining the Project, Instructor Jeff Knight does an excellent job of leading you through defining the project and explaining why Executive Stakeholder buy-in is key to the success of the project. He also pitches questions to the class, which immediately causes participants to begin applying the information provided in the course, and therefore, prepares them well for the certification test and real world application. This class module clearly defines a step-by-step standardized approach for defining a project through development of and approval and acceptance of a project charter. Use of a project charter, often skipped by many organizations in the corporate market place, ensures that everyone who has a stake in a project understands what is expected of the project and for the project. With understanding often comes appreciation and clarity which results in a more efficient and effective collaborative process and overall greater success in the leading of and execution of a project. I highly recommend it.

by Spencer B. on Defining the Project

by Patrick Bennett on Planning the Project

I was fortunate enough to take both "Defining the Project" and "Planning the Project" courses from Owais Javeed. He substituted for the second class sessions, which allowed him to tie the 120VC Charter and Project Planning documents and processes together for learning continuity. Also very much enjoyed Owais' personal interest in getting to the know each students, calling on different individuals for greater participation, and providing a work plan exercise to practice with. Thank you, Owais, for sharing your program management expertise and knowledge!

by Jeff Ober on Planning the Project

I had been assigned to Jason as my mentor, but Jason gets super busy, so Ken made himself available to me. What a blessing! Ken reviewed my exams with me and even critiqued my status report (I'm not a 120 employee). If you're in the training, take advantage of Ken's willingness to assist you; it was of great value to me.

by Robin Raiszadeh on Planning the Project

I worked with Ken for two years at my former employer so I knew first-hand that Ken was a very knowledgeable and extremely effective project manager so I attended his “Planning the Project” class a few weeks ago, and I am so glad I did – I had an epiphany!

Ken used a very structured, systematic and step-by-step approach to show how to set up a Microsoft Project file, how to set up resources, calendars, tasks, dependencies, and how to track and report on the project – from the beginning to the end.

Additionally, at each step he described the underlying business reasons. He also give me extremely valuable pointers on how to conduct meetings, identify and mitigate risks and manage people (project contributors, managers, sponsors, owners, executives).

I am now a much better project manager as a result of taking Ken’s class. My only regret is that I did not take this class five years ago. This class is a must for any project manager.

by Talese Pulley on Planning the Project

120VC has some wonderful team members! Ken Walker was not only a great instructor, he also spent time with me to improve my interview skills. He is a great mentor!

by Spencer B. on Planning the Project

I found this training to be very beneficial. I now feel that I am capable of utilizing a Work Plan as an effective tool throughout a project. If you want to ensure that you can utilize a Work Plan to determine how long a risk will take until it effects your project's end date and cost, I recommend taking this course.

This was an excellent course on project management and project risk. Instructor Ric Tucker did an awesome job. He gave good examples, answered questions, and encouraged participation to get all the various perspectives from the class attendees. Highly recommend.

This was the course I wish I had 20 years ago when I opened up my first company.
The knowledge taught is framed up to give PM's structure and best practice application. The instructors are great, and all have extensive project management experience.

This course was very interactive. Ric Tucker did a great job of engaging with all participants, ensured all questions were answered, and provided realistic examples of why risk management is so important.

Great to the point and useful examples. Thank you.

Excellent course in managing project risk and project change. Instructor Kat Shimizu provided examples of how to complete a risk assessment report. This training gave me a great understanding as to handling an unavoidable aspect of a project manager's job: managing risk.

by Bob Hopper on Online Course Package

I just completed the complete online course and the follow-on testing to earn my 120PFC (Project Management Foundational Certification.)

The training sessions are expertly taught by senior leaders at 120VC, all accomplished and successful Project and Program Managers. Jason Scott (CEO), Ken Walker, Scott Whelan, and Jeff Knight were excellent trainers/presenters/facilitators in the 9 weekly sessions, bringing in practical experience, helpful tips, and valuable life-lessons along with training in “best practices” which are embodied in the 120VC Guidebook and the 120VC Standard.

I never felt like I was simply learning theory, but instead was being equipped with important and valuable tools for project management success. In just about every weekly session I thought, "I wish I had these tools on my previous projects!" And, I heard that same comment regularly from many of my classmates!

While earning the certification was originally my goal, I realize now that the greater benefit for me was in the training, mentoring, and interaction by Jason and the 120VC team. Through the course of study and the certification exams, I had an opportunity to interact with a lot of 120VC staff members, from the CEO to support staff, from the longest-term employees to the latest Project Managers. All of them go “above and beyond,” and made me feel like a welcome member of a community of people who are dedicated to progress and growth on the road to excellence and success.

I'm truly grateful to 120VC! -- "Hopper"

by Spencer B. on Online Course Package

As someone who is pursuing a career in project management, I found this training series to be extremely informative and beneficial. I feel confident that I can apply the 120VC standards that I have been taught over the past nine weeks to successfully complete a project. I highly recommend this training to anyone who is interested in entering the field of project management as well as anyone who is already in the field of project management and would like to apply 120VC's proven standards to aggressively complete projects on time and within budget.

by Cristian Speranta on Online Course Package

===Review for On-site Instructor Led Course===
Our PMO office selected the 120VC Project Management Standard for our organization and I was for fortunate enough to complete the on-site course run by Jason.

I have to say I found it greatly enlightening - it's the Ninja elements of PM brought to bare when entering the PM battle to ensure a win.

All the fat, trimmings and superfluous guff is taken out, leaving only the distillation of pure golden elements born of first hand experience; sharing both reasons for why you might or might not wish to take various approaches.

The sense of humour that Jason injected into the course was infectious and well received by all.

For someone like myself that has little time for messing around - it was perfect. It gave me what I needed as well as valuable toolkit to put to work immediately.

I have no hesitation in recommending this course for anyone who is buried in minutia and looking for a light at the end of the tunnel + plus a way to make sure that light is not an on-coming train...

No regrets what so ever.

Regards,
Cristian Speranta-NBCU
